Rachel Benevento - Senior Writer

Rachel is a skilled writer and editor. Rachel has worked with a range of organizations on communication initiatives, marketing materials, program development and client services. As manager of corporate relations at the American Cancer Society, Rachel joined with communication specialists, HR professionals and senior business leaders to educate employees about cancer. Targeted industries included financial services, insurance, law and media. She established the first customized company-branded employee giving campaign at a worksite managed by the Cancer Society in Manhattan. Rachel also founded the Alumni Partnership Program at Columbia University, creating and publicizing forums for engaging highly successful graduates from a variety of fields with current students. She began her career in broadcast journalism and earned an MS from the Medill School of Journalism, Northwestern University. She graduated from Columbia University with a BA in history. Rachel serves on the board of directors of Community Impact at Columbia University.
